live like you're dying

Holding your 12 year old dog while he is injected with the "sleeping" liquid, is something that I figure will be burned in my memory for quite a while. If not forever. Before I lost grip of composure I'd looked at my brother and father, crying. It's kinda weird seeing your dad cry. Weird yet eye-opening. I gave them each a hug before the doctor came in.
I rubbed Benny's belly, and before his body went limp he wagged his tail and gave us his old grin. As if to say, "Don't cry guys, it's okay, I can see Heaven!" I know some people don't believe animals go to Heaven, but at these kind of moments you pray to God they do. That's when I sobbed my eyes out, 'cause reality only becomes real to me when it happens, and it generally hits pretty dang hard. I gave him one last kiss on the top of his soft yellow head, and whispered I love you one last time.
And we were out of there.
...
After Ben died, I wished I could take back ever yelling at him for drooling at my feet when I ate something, or that I took him on more walks or threw him more tennis balls. Those things made him do his happy groan and wiggle his body like a worm. Those things made me smile in any mood. He was my goofy goober. (: (I use to always sing him that sponge bob song haha he'd go berserk) So to me life is even more precious, and death more realistic. My dad told me he had blood clots in his leg, and that's how my grandpa died. I don't know if it's silly to be completely out of my mind worried. But I am and I think of Benny dying and 10 billion times as heart breaking. Sometimes it's hard to remember to show them you love them everyday, but I don't want to regret again. So live life like your dying! Speak sweeter! Read the Good Book! (Live Like You're Dying- Tim Mcgraw) <3

Honest Adam

Aunt Erlynn- bitch aunt that disclaimed all my family
Uncle Mike- her ex-hubby who we love and is more part of the family than she is
Adam- their only son, my cousin, whose funny as hell!

(this story is from my uncles point of view, back when he was still married to the.. mhm uhh crazy lady :P )

"Honey, the Wester's invited us to eat dinner with them.. again." I heard the expected shriek from my wife, she came storming into the room like a bull at the red cloth. Though no color really pleased her.
"Did you tell them we were coming?" Adam was sitting at the table with that look of ponder on his face, as usual. He was one of those, "what if?" kids, always asking things like what if we hook the tractor to the tree? What if we hooked it to the house? On and on all day.
"Yes Erlynn." Then she went off on about the last time we ate over there, and how their family recipe mush made her nearly barf. Adam sat at the table giggling at his mom's descriptions.
Later that night we were sitting at the Wester's table with the family recipe on our plates. "They are giving us the stuff that makes you want to barf!" He exclaimed with bulging eyes looking at the yellow slop.
"What?" Mrs.Wester now had a confused afflicted look on her face, with her brows scrunched up together and her mouth set in a straight line. Erlynn's mouth dropped open in response.
"Oh! He's just being a silly boy don't mind him."
"No mommy!" he said jamming his finger in her direction this time, "You said you hoped they weren't serving the food that made you wanna barf!" My boy's so honest.
Mrs.Wester offered to give us something else, but Erlynn said she loved the mush and shoveled it down her throat. Yeah, I slept on the couch that night.

Irresistibly Forbidden

"I Don't Wanna Miss A Thing"-Aerosmith
"Last Train Home"-Ryan Star

1. The night before the Halloween of 2009, I was dragged to a friends party. I hadn't wanted to go, dreading the thought of standing awkwardly in a group of people whom I was a stranger too. I mean, who would want to spend their night like that? But nevertheless I was convinced, "What are you doing tonight?" Josh pressed. I told him that I'd probably sit at home watching depressing movies. "Come to my party!" He'd promised he wouldn't leave me alone if I went. So of course I went, I needed to get my mind of some things anyway.
Now lets fast forward a bit. I got to the party and for the first half I got to know a few kids my age, but the next half I was playing pool with a bunch of drunk twenty year old's. Yes, there might of been a little booze in my Monster too. Though don't worry my head was for the most part together. The story really begins with the fact that my sixteen year old best friend Austin ditched me as my pool partner. So who takes his place? An attractive guy that made me laugh way too much.
"I'm Willy." He flashed me an enchanting smile. Showing a row of perfectly straight, and pearly white teeth. I returned him a shy smile and introduced myself as well.
~to be continued~
I'm not going to lie,Willy and I kicked ass at pool together.

Beginning of Me

Before I begin my stories, I thought i would tell you a little about myself.
First of all, you can call me Joy. It's a name that fits me perfectly, like my favorite pair of skinny jeans! Everyday I smile, my mood and current status never even subtracts from my bubbly girl appearance.
I've been alive since the twelfth month of 1993. Yes, I suppose I am kind of young. But I'm an inspired young person, and I hope to help some of your hours to fly by with a few smiles! Anyway I'll just share with you some big points of my life. I began as a courageous little girl. I stood up for the kids who were picked on and i had no enemies nor no problems. (Greatly missed days of my life.)
Then after my tom-boy appearance was pointed out to be unattractive a few years later. I grew increasingly shy and well I call it the "awkward" stage of my life.
Now I've gained all my courage back, and I try to use it like I once did. But sadly it's not a good thing. I've grown totally, utterly boy crazy! Happens to everyone right?
Throughout my life I've made many mistakes and had many adventures. I'm expecting more, I hope you enjoy them (:
